Description Of The Tour

Upon arrival at Athens International Airport or the port of Piraeus, you’ll board a private vehicle (3, 7, 10,16  or 19 seats based on the group size). A scenic drive through the charming neighborhoods of Athens will lead you to the bustling city center.

Your city tour begins at the renowned Acropolis, an architectural marvel from the 5th century BC and a key global landmark. Explore the Acropolis’s grand Propylaea, the Erectheum, the diminutive Temple of Athena Nike, and the awe-inspiring Parthenon. These temples honor the city’s patron goddess, Athena, and Zeus, the revered father of the gods.

Following the Acropolis, the tour proceeds to the majestic Temple of Zeus, the largest surviving Corinthian temple in Greece. Nearby, the Hadrian’s Arch marks the boundary between the ancient and modern sections of Athens, honoring the Roman emperor who significantly contributed to the city.

The Embark Disembark 4-H Tour In Athens With Transfer will showcase iconic structures, including the Parliament Building, former Royal Palace, National Library, Academy, and University of Athens. The tour will also highlight the historic Panathenaic Stadium, the site of the inaugural modern Olympic Games in 1896, which continues to host special events.

After being picked up by your private chauffeur, you’ll be driven to the contemporary district of the city, including the sleek Kolonaki neighborhood and the summit of Lycabettus Hill. As the tallest hill in Athens, Lycabettus provides breathtaking panoramas of the entire city.

Upon concluding your tour in Athens, we will escort you to the Port of Piraeus for your cruise departure or to Athens Airport for your return flight.

Persons with Disabilities

• Due to uneven surfaces, certain sites are not recommended for persons with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair. Such sites are the Acropolis, the Temple of Poseidon at Sounion, Mycenae, Delphi and Meteora.
• In all cases, we recommend comfortable flat-solid walking shoes, sunglasses and sunscreen.
• For guests who are full-time wheelchair users a ramp vehicle will be needed. Guests may remain in their wheelchair or scooter for the duration of the excursion. Wheelchair or scooter dimensions are required in order to confirm the correct vehicle!
• Wheelchair or small scooter folding type only. (Please note that disabled passengers must be able to board the vehicle independently or with the assistance of those in their party.)
